Mr. Patterson has served as a member of our Board since January 2018 and as Chairman of the Board since March 2019. He is currently President of MRP Holdings, LLC and has served in that role since leaving Merrill Lynch in January 2009 where he served as a real estate consultant. Until January 2009, Mr. Patterson was a Managing Director and the Head of Real Estate Global Principal Investments at Merrill Lynch, where he oversaw real estate principal investing activities of the firm. Mr. Patterson joined Merrill Lynch in April 2005 as the Global Head of Real Estate Investment Banking and in 2006 also became Co-Head of Global Commercial Real Estate at the firm, which encompassed real estate investment banking, principal investing and mortgage debt. Prior to joining Merrill Lynch, Mr. Patterson spent 16 years at Citigroup where he was the Global Head of Real Estate Investment Banking from 1996 to 2005. He is a Senior Advisor to Rockefeller Capital Management and Energy Impact Partners. He served as a member of the board of directors for General Growth Properties, now a part of Brookfield Realty Partners, from 2011 to 2017, and is currently a member of the board of directors for UDR, Inc. (NYSE: UDR) since 2014, a member of the board of directors of Digital Realty Trust, Inc. (NYSE: DLR) since 2016, a member of the board of directors of Paramount Group (NYSE: PGRE) since 2018 and a member of Enchanted Rock since 2025. He has a Bachelor of Business Administration from the College of William and Mary and a Masters of Business Administration from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia. He is also a certified public accountant.
